The “5.5/10 vs Stockfish 800” result was actually against a much stronger opponent. After correcting the configuration (verified by inspecting Stockfish’s uci option output), a preliminary 100-game tournament vs Stockfish 1320 confirmed the engine was in the ~1280 Elo range.
